Description:

Fill the growing need for Spanish-English translators in Canada and around the world created by increasing migration and globalization. By studying in our uniquely multilingual, multicultural environment, you’ll get professional training in practical linguistic, cultural and translation skills that will support any career in translation. In small classes taught by dynamic professors who are experts in the field, you’ll enjoy one-on-one attention and network with peers.

    To be eligible for admission, Certificate applicants must have completed a minimum of one year at the university level (or equivalent), GL/SP 3000 6.00 (formerly GL/SP 2610 6.00) or AS/SP 3000 6.0 (or equivalent), and have a C+ average.

    All Certificate applicants must successfully complete an entrance exam before enrolling in the program. Applicants must also meet York University’s admission requirements. Students are required to complete a minimum of 18 of the 33 credits of the Certificate program at Glendon College.
